Author’s POV
As the sun rises, casting a golden glow over the Rajvansh estate, Divya and Shreya, the women of the family, gather to discuss their household chores and work, moving gracefully through their morning routine. Meanwhile, the men sip their morning tea, engaged in lively conversation about their business and the day's plans.
After a while, Divya and Shreya join their husbands, and the discussion shifts to a topic close to their hearts—the future of their children. Amidst the talk of their kids' education and careers, the conversation takes a turn towards Reyansh's marriage. They exchange thoughtful glances, wondering how to convince the successful yet elusive Reyansh, always focused on work, to finally settle down and find peace in marriage.
Around 7 o'clock, Reyansh wakes up and starts his day with his usual routine. After getting freshened up, he heads to the gym to clear his mind and energize his body. Shortly after, Kartik joins him, and between sets, they begin discussing the important project that Reyansh needs to oversee in Lucknow. The stakes are high for both of them, as this venture could bring in millions for Rajvansh Industries. Focused and determined, they strategize, aware that its success could significantly impact their business.
After returning from the gym, Reyansh stepped into his bathroom for a refreshing shower. As the warm water cascaded over him, his thoughts drifted to the girl he had seen two years ago—the one who had unknowingly captured his heart. Her presence lingered in his mind like a soft, comforting melody. Whenever he thought of her, a sense of peace washed over him, as though she brought a calmness to his otherwise busy life. He often dreamed of her being by his side, imagining a future filled with shared moments and happiness.
After spending what felt like a long time lost in these thoughts, Reyansh finally stepped out of the shower, his mind still occupied with her memory. He headed to his closet, where he picked out a striking blue suit. Dressed impeccably, as he always was, he looked undeniably handsome, ready to take on the day ahead—though the thought of her never truly left his heart.
Once he was ready, Reyansh received a call from his PA, Riya. As usual, her tone was laced with playful flirtation, something he had grown accustomed to but never reciprocated. He remained distant, keeping the conversation professional, as her advances never sat well with him. Though he had considered firing her on more than one occasion, he always held back, knowing she was the daughter of his father’s close friend. Bound by family ties, Reyansh kept his frustrations in check, despite wanting to distance himself from her inappropriate behavior.
While talking to Riya, Reyansh was descending the stairs, his expression unreadable as he brushed off her usual flirtatious remarks. As he reached the bottom, his family noticed him and exchanged knowing glances. They had been waiting for the right moment, and over breakfast seemed like the perfect time to bring up the topic of his marriage. With the idea already in their minds, they silently planned to discuss how to convince Reyansh to settle down, hoping that this would be the day to steer the conversation in that direction.
As Reyansh walked into the dining area, his father, Avyan, called out to him, "Reyansh, mujhe tumse kuch baat karna hai!"
Reyansh paused for a moment, meeting his father's gaze. He already had a sense of what his dad wanted to discuss—it was the same topic that had been lingering in the air for some time now. With a calm nod, he responded, "Ji Dad, boliye."
He braced himself for the inevitable conversation about his marriage, knowing his family had been eager to bring it up.
His dad sighed and said, "Reyansh, tum ab 28 saal ke ho, ab tumhe shaadi kar leni chahiye! Mere dost ke bete toh shaadi karke 1-2 baccha bhi paida kar liya."
Reyansh felt a wave of irritation rise inside him. He had anticipated this conversation, but it didn’t make it any easier to hear. As everyone looked at him expectantly, waiting for his response, he clenched his jaw, trying to stay calm.
At that moment, Kartik and Ritika chimed in playfully, "Bhai, bade papa sahi bol rahe hai. Mujhe bhi bhabhi chahiye, aur unke saath maze karenge!"
Reyansh glared at them, his expression firm, though they only grinned in return.
Before he could reply, his mother joined in, her voice carrying the familiar tone of a dramatic Indian household, "Rey, aur kitne saal? Beta, mujhe bhi meri bahu aur mere pota-potiyon ke saath time bitana hai. Thoda humare baare mein bhi socho!"
Her emotional plea, paired with everyone’s expectant eyes, only added to the pressure. Reyansh knew they meant well, but the conversation was clearly weighing on him.
